New Construction Roof Inspection, explained.
A new roof is not automatically a right roof. Installation mistakes are common: shingles nailed high, missing or reversed flashing, improper valleys, absent kick-out flashing, or poor sealing around penetrations. They often cause no trouble until the first hard rain, and by then the builder’s warranty clock is running.
We inspect new roofs against good installation practice and the manufacturer’s guidance, documenting defects with photographs. The report gives you or your builder a clear list of corrections. It is best done before final payment or well within the builder’s warranty period.
