Attic Inspection and Moisture Check, explained.
From inside the attic you see the roof from below, and from below it cannot hide. Dark stains on decking show where water has been. Damp insulation shows where it still is. Rusty nail tips, mold and frost marks hint at condensation and poor ventilation. Daylight where there should be none shows open gaps.
We inspect the attic with a bright light, a moisture meter and, where useful, a thermal camera. We follow stains to their sources, check ventilation and note insulation condition. The attic often shows whether a leak is old or active, whether condensation is the problem and where the roof needs closer attention outside.

Can the attic show a leak that is not visible inside?
Yes. Water can run along framing and stay in the attic before it ever reaches a ceiling.
Is attic mold always a roof leak?
No. Poor ventilation and humidity often cause it. We look for the cause.
Do you enter every attic?
We enter when it is safe and accessible. Some attics are too tight or fragile.
